Kea Lodge is a short distance walk to the Albert Town commercial precinct. Home of the Pembroke Patisserie, Albert Town Tavern, and a convenience store. Hook, table to plate salmon fishery and restaurant is also a short distance away.
The walking and bike trails of Mt Iron and the Clutha River are also within walking distance, including the Outlet and Deans Bank tracks.
