Lady Emily Hut offers breathtaking views all year round and is a fantastic base for ski touring adventures. The hut provides access to excellent terrain including The Scorpion circuit.

Cass Valley Ski Tour
The Cass and its tributaries, situated within Glenmore Station, provide a classic and varied venue for ski and splitboard tours with impressive terrain and the convenience of private and comfortable huts. Our scheduled group trips are based from Lady Emily Hut accessible by helicopter for 4wd for the more adventurous.
Lady Emily Hut
After a fun day of adventures, it is recommended to head to the Bad Decision Hut for a dram of whisky before heading back to Lady Emily.

Heated Huts
The huts have log burners, firewood, fully equipped kitchens, and gas cookers.
Itinerary
Meeting in Wanaka, Mount Cook, or Tekapo, it is possible to drive up the Cass Valley in a 4WD to access the huts. Otherwise, it is possible to fly in from various locations. Once established at the hut, participants must only carry light day packs during day ski tours exploring the area.
Ski or Splitboard Touring Ability
Some experience skiing or riding off-piste in a variety of snow conditions and blue or red runs on a ski field. Some experience ski or splitboard touring.
Fitness
Ascents and descents of up to 500m and up to 15km distance per day. 10 – 15kg packs. 6 – 8 hours.

Inclusions & Exclusions
Includes: Applicable taxes, guide fees, compliance costs, food, return 4WD ground transport from Wanaka, safety equipment, and mountain accommodation during the trip.
Excludes: Ski touring equipment hire (if required), helicopter flights.
For helicopter access, budget between $1200 – $1500 in each direction per group.
‘Highly recommend WMG. Although we’re relatively experienced & capable, having the team organise our first ski tour trip into the Cass valley made it a much better experience right from logistics and safety to the food !
