Overview

The Aspiring Preparation Course is designed from our years of experience guiding our guests on Tititea / Mount Aspiring. For new mountaineers with the aspiration to climb this mountain on a guided ascent or work towards their own self-led expeditions, the 3 day course covers all the skills required to set you up for success.

Course Venues

The course is based at the local and easily accessible Wanaka single and multi-pitch crags and the Remarkables near Queenstown.

If conditions allow, it may also be possible to camp or bivi for a night at Lake Alta. This his requires carrying in your overnight gear for an hour or so to the campsite.

The culmination of the course is usually an ascent of the summits of Single or Double Cone.

Climbing gear and equipment for Mount Sefton adventures in Wanaka.

All the technical equipment can be borrowed from us. It is also possible to hire boots and other equipment that may be required.
