Tim the owner was extremely hospitable and communicated great in the lead up to the trip. My guide Ryan was extremely professional when teaching and taking us through all of the aspects of the course and during down time was very approachable and easy to chat to whether it was about mountaineering or other questions. 10/10 would reckon doing this course or anything else with Wanaka mountain guides offers! Thank you so much!Posted on Google Jonathan OldenburgerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I hired Wanaka Mountain Guides to do the Grand Traverse in the Remarkables. They were great with ensuring that we had enough backup days to go ahead with the trip and were very responsive and easy to deal with. Tim was very helpful and was happy to answer all of our questions. Jordan was our guide and was incredibly easy going. He was clearly very experienced with the climb and understood our climbing experience well to make sure that we got what we wanted out of the climb. He made us feel safe throughout and also gave us opportunities to push ourselves a bit. Jordan also kept up the energy near the end of the climb when we were getting very tired and needed his positive attitude and encouragement. We would recommend Jordan and Wanaka Mountain Guides to anyone interested in climbing in the Remarkables or anywhere in the Queenstown/Wanaka area or beyond.Posted on Google Tania GibsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently signed up for Single Cone via Wanaka Mountain Guides and can’t speak highly enough of our experience. The day exceeded all expectations. Our guide Rob Hoffman was exceptional. His passion for the outdoors, his extensive knowledge, energy, patience, organisation and communication skills made the entire experience truly memorable. He made sure we felt comfortable and safe. The pace was perfect, the route breathtaking. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day in the mountains. Highly recommended. Thank you Rob. Thanks also to Tim for organising this special day, one tailored to our needs. Much appreciated!Posted on Google Krzysztof RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend and would definitely use wanaka in the future.Posted on Google Marc CoopTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Not only did I try to book a trip last minute but it was during the busiest weeks of the year. The company really worked hard to find me a guide and tailor a trip to me. The guide Paul, was extremely knowledgeable and felt like it became a a mini training course, learning and improving the entire time. Big thanks for making this trip happen!!!!Posted on Google Sarah GTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Compared to the incredible stuff Wanaka Mountain Guides do, we took the tame hike up the Rob Roy Glacier track with our guide Emily, who was fantastic. My friend had broken her arm on a hike the week previous, and they had no issues with it, but it was clear that Emily was considerate and making sure the pace was steady and safe and that my friend was managing to negotiate some of the trickier bits. We needed a 4WD to get us over the crossings to the start of the track and wanted to feel safe with my friend having already broken her arm. We booked at relatively short notice. It was all just so easy, and the team clearly highly professional. We will definitely use them again!Posted on Google Carl NightingaleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tim & team at Wanaka are awesome. Had a great trip with them!!Posted on Google Tristan WiedemannTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely amazing experience with Wanaka Mountain Guides! From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional, responsible, and highly skilled. I felt safe and supported the entire time, even during the more technical parts of our adventure. Their deep knowledge of the mountains and attention to detail really stood out. I can't recommend them enough if you're looking for an unforgettable and expertly guided experience!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
