A range of guided rock climbing and instruction activities. Skill development for all experience levels in sport, traditional and multi-pitch climbing techniques. Venues include accessible local Wānaka crags, the multi-pitch crags and alpine rock of the Southern Lakes region, Mount Aspiring National Park, and the Darran mountains of Fiordland National Park.

Wānaka Rock Climbing

Hospital Flat, is an area that boasts thousands of established climbs throughout the grade range. It is just 20 minutes drive from Wānaka town center. Set in the beautiful idyllic setting of the Matukituki Valley, the gateway to Mount Aspiring National Park. A variety of rock walls provide year-round climbing for all ages and abilities.

Southern Lakes Alpine Rock Climbing

The Southern Lakes region provides a variety of alpine and multi-pitch climbing venues. High up in the Remarkables mountain range overlooking the Whakatipu basin or high above the Dart and Matukituki valleys of World Heritage Mount Aspiring National Park.

We offer customised courses to progress your climbing skills. This includes instruction at levels of experience to safely pursue your own climbing goals. Learn skills for sport climbing, trad climbing, techniques and tactics for multi-pitch and alpine climbing, and vertical rescue.

Darrans Alpine Rock Climbing

Further afield is the alpine climbing mecca of the Darrans of Fiordland, a short drive from Milford Sound. The compact and rough granite provides an excellent medium and a range of intermediate to advanced grades. Some routes involve exposed technical approaches or multi-day tactics and bivying.
